The Story of Hustle Love Paws

3,100,000unadopted pets
Each year in the U.S., about 6.3 million animals enter shelters — but only about 3.2 million get adopted.
Half of them never make it out.
Chasing Sunsets started as a pet memorial celebration of life business, but we wanted to give back to the pet community, and fundraising is our big goal. We volunteer at our local rescues and foster ourselves, and we see how much effort and money is spent on the critical component of spaying and neutering. Thousands of dollars monthly. Many folks don’t realize adoptions can not occur until this is done. We are small but have high hopes to grow. We will provide information and funds for local Bay Area rescues to start. We will share stories about the work folks are doing to make saving lives happen. Hustle Love Paws was created as our niche because we believe, ‘It’s Hip To Snip!’
🐾 Health & Behavior Benefits (for your pet):
-
Reduces cancer risk:
Spaying females eliminates the risk of uterine infections and greatly reduces the chance of breast tumors. Neutering males prevents testicular cancer and lowers the risk of prostate issues. -
Improves behavior:
Pets are often calmer and less aggressive. Neutered males are less likely to roam, spray, or mark territory. -
No heat cycles or yowling:
Spayed females don’t go into heat—so no loud vocalizing, bleeding, or unwanted attention from males. -
Longer, healthier lives:
Studies show spayed/neutered pets tend to live longer due to reduced disease risks and accidents (like roaming or fighting).

Spay/neuter programs have been shown to decrease shelter intake by up to 60% and euthanasia rates by up to 70% when implemented city-wide.

Communities that invest in spay/neuter programs often see shelter intake drop by 30–60% in just a few years.
🌍 Community & Animal Welfare Benefits:
-
Reduces overpopulation:
Prevents unwanted litters that often end up in shelters or on the streets. -
Decreases euthanasia rates:
Fewer homeless animals means fewer need to be euthanized due to lack of space or resources. -
Protects wildlife:
Free-roaming, unneutered cats and dogs can harm native wildlife. Sterilization helps curb this. -
Cost savings:
Prevents future medical expenses tied to reproductive issues and reduces municipal costs for animal control and shelter care. -
Every life matters, and controlling the pet animal population is critical.
Every day, thousands of unwanted litters are born into uncertainty. Spaying and neutering help prevent this heartbreak, ensuring fewer animals end up in shelters or facing the unknown.

Every spayed or neutered pet prevents the suffering of hundreds of unseen animals down the line — lives saved invisibly, but profoundly. The choice is simple: a quick surgery, or a lifetime of unnecessary suffering for animals that never asked for any of this.
Nonprofits We Love
At Chasing Sunsets, we believe in giving back. We’ve curated a list of nonprofit organizations doing incredible work in animal welfare, pet rescue, and spay/neuter advocacy. These groups will be part of our donation list, but if you prefer to support them directly, we encourage you to do so!
Donating in memory of a beloved pet or person—or to celebrate your own journey—is a beautiful way to express gratitude. Every life matters, and access to spay and neuter services gives animals the chance they deserve.
Explore. Support. Share. These organizations need all paws on deck.
