Meet Colleen

Colleen is an interior designer, artist, and the founder of Chasing Sunsets, based in Pacifica, California. Deeply inspired by nature and guided by compassion, she creates meaningful art that honors the lives of beloved pets and supports those navigating loss.

Alongside her husband, Alex, Colleen is dedicated to rescuing senior and terminally ill dogs, offering them love, care, and dignity through adoption, fostering, and hospice (“fospice”) support. Her personal experiences with grief and healing inform both her creative work and her mission to give back to the animal rescue community.

Colleen is also the co-founder of Hustle Love Paws (It’s Hip to Snip!), a nonprofit raising awareness and funds for spay and neuter programs. Her recent illustrated book, a modern folktale for all ages, was created to bring comfort, connection, and hope — a reminder that love lives on in memory.
